Wigton Baths will now re-open.
It comes after a two-week closure for energy upgrades.
The improvement work includes new, state-of-the-art boilers that will save money and keep the pool water warm.
A thermal cover will also be used when the pool is not in use.
Friends of Wigton Baths say that the first stage of wall insulation, which helps reduce heat loss, is now complete.
Trustee Kevin Armstrong told CRFM that this upgrade is expected to improve air temperature and lower energy bills.
The staff have also painted and repaired changing rooms and other areas and deep-cleaned in preparation for the grand re-opening.
Let’s hope it makes a splash.
